JARA SERRANO studied contemporary dance at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and completed a Master’s in Choreography at HZT / Ernst Busch Academy in Berlin. She has worked with artists including William Forsythe, Pierre Droulers, Colette Sadler, and Nadja Raszewski, and has been developing her own choreographic work since 2015. She is active as a choreographer and performer with Tanzaktiv e.V.. In parallel, she works as a dance and social pedagogue at Menschenskinder Berlin gGmbH and LAG Spiel & Theater Berlin e.V., working at the intersection of artistic, educational, and social practices in Berlin.
